Anthropocene Graveyard began in 2020 with an introduction to an abandoned motel in Richmond, Virginia; a baby blue mattress sitting in a mostly-empty baby blue pool. Before this series, I specialized in portraiture. The sudden departure from my comfort zone forced me to re-evaluate my entire creative process. Through the exploration, I found myself recontextualizing the locations I chose into portraits themselves.
